Meet Dr. Gombera
Orthopedic Surgeon at Fondren Orthopedic Group
Dr. Gombera earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan. He then pursued a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Northwestern University, focusing on cutting-edge treatments for sports injuries and shoulder replacement. During his fellowship, he served as assistant team physician for the Northwestern football team, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
Since joining Texas Orthopedic Hospital and Fondren Orthopedic Group in 2015, Dr. Gombera has led the Hip Preservation Center and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UTMB. He is also a team physician for Texas Southern University and is actively involved in medical education and research.
